The three West Midlands Genomic Medicine Centre (WMGMC) Genomics Ambassadors have received national recognition, featuring as one of NHS Digital’s 70 Innovations.

Sean James, Chris Clowes, and Charlotte Hitchcock, funded by the West Midlands Academic Health Science Network (WMAHSN), link the south, centre and north of the West Midlands with the WMGMC Lead Organisation, University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB).

The Ambassadors help recruit cancer and rare disease participants to the pioneering 100,000 Genomes Project at their Trusts, ensuring that participants to the Project come from across the region.
